TeamTuxedoBurrito was well represented at the Washougal Nationals, even though Tuxedo didn't actually show up himself.  Paula and I had the all-access pass to get in and watch the race from the Motosport.com trailer.  It was a great race day, the Motosport.com race team did very well in the 250 class, with both PJ doing well and Cunningham kickng ass, and earning TTB a ton of points.  Hahn went down in the 450's, which bummed out the Motosport.com folks, but it was still a good race.  At the end of the day, TTB had broken in to the top 10 points in the division.

We ran into our arch-nemesis, Rob964, (Team Monster Skellington, aka Team Tiny Little Dog--seriously, you should see the size of that dog!) on top of the Motosport.com Trailer.  TTB managed to barely cling to our overall lead, but Skellington got more points this round, again!

Paula and I got to watch the race from the track, which is much more exciting than watchig it on TV, I might add!  Jarrod42 snapped this picture.  He did a great job getting the Motosport.com trailer and water, coozy and tattoo giveaway event organized, and it was a big hit with the Motocross fans, too!

 I also uploaded a few videos, but I can't embed those into the post, so you'll have to search for them on the main page.  When you watch them, make sure you have your speakers cranked up!  I replayed the video for Tuxedo when I got home, and scared the hell out of him!  It sounds like you're standing on the track!

This story, and also the video links are also available on my homepage.

Here's my podium speech, James:  Tongue out

I'd like to thank some random, but still awesome, sponsors like Motosport, Canidae dog food (Tuxedo would eat it anyway--but give the poor guy some Burrito-flavored Friskies!), Fox, Wiseco and Honda.  I would also like to thank Rockstar for making an energy drink to keep our team intense enough (and Tuxy's fur both shiny and lustrous) to move up to #16 in our division.  Lastly, to the trophy girls, where's our picture with the Motospace sticker--just tell your boyfriend it's for my cat!  You know how we do: BRAAAP! Cool

Friday night's pulling Broc Hepler and Josh Hill out of the Team Tuxedo Burrito starting lineup helped TTB move up another position in the MotoXDream rankings for the Devol Engineering Last Chance Seattle.  Jason Lawerence nearly got benched, too, but we didn't get that change sent in fast enough.  Still, we also put a little more distance between TTB and our close competitors, the Hot Rod and Monster Skellington teams.

Riders for the big bikes:

# Millsaps, Davi (#3)

# Alessi, Mike  (#4)
# Short, Andrew(#5)
# Reed, Chad (#7)

Riders for the Lites:

# (Lites W) Dungey, Ryan (#1)

# (Lites W) Weimer, Jake (#4)

# (Lites W) Brayton, Justin (WTF?  Did you even go to the race?)

# (Lites W) Lawrence, Jason (BLAH--James IM'ed me about this one, too!  "Someone" (you know who you are!) interrupted my--I mean Tuxedo's--picks with system issues while we were picking, so he didn't get benched in time!)

#16, all time high baby!

This may be the only time this season that I get to say I'm tied for first place on the http://www.motoxdream.com Fantasy League, so I'm taking a moment to bask in that glory.  Cool

I'm playing in two divisions for the Outdoor season, the Private Industry People again, and this time the Motospace Crew division.

Anyway, good luck to everyone else who's playing.  Tongue out

OK, so TTB stayed at #16 this past weekend.  We're doing safe picks now to just maintain our lead over Hot Rod and Monster Skellington to finish out the season.  Unfortunately, Jarrod42 is a little out of reach at this point.

Check out my photo of my battle against the swine flu!  From the looks of it, I'm winning!

My TTB Hangtown Classic Picks:

450's: RV Park, Short, Hahn and James "Too Good for No TV" Stewart.

250's: Barcia, Rattray, Searle and Metcalf

Looks like the wheels came off the TeamTuxedoBurrito wagon!  Villopoto got hurt, J-Law did well (because we skipped him) and did Stewart even show?  My picks from last week did well though! Tongue out

Guess that's what happens when you let a cat help you with your picks!  Doh!  Embarassed

Well played, Rob964!  You have bested me this round!

So Saturday morning of Freestone, I'm looking at my www.motoxdream.com picks and checking to see who's racing and just being slightly paranoid about my picks.  The week before, as you may recall from my last blog post, TeamTuxedoBurrito got stomped, allowing Rob964, to leave me in the dust!  So I made sure all my picks were solid and the team was locked in.  After the race, I checked in, and I found that I had done pretty well and clawed my way back up to #14 in Industry and #25 in Motospace, passing Rob964.  I was like "holy crap, I not only beat him, I kicked the crap out of him!"  So, I went to see who he picked, and wouldn't you know, he spaced and forgot to make his picks!  So, it turns out, it was a cheap victory, but I got a good laugh, especially since that's exactly what I did for the supercross!

    TeamTuxedoBurrito did well at Thunder Valley.  Tuxedo was glued to the TV hoping that Tommy Hahn would manage to pass Andrew Short on the last few laps, but a third place finish was fine with him.  I let my other cat, Jasper help with the picks earlier in the day, so they were a little more aggressive than ususal, and they paid off with 314 points.  But, I noticed that even with those picks, I didn't even make the Top 10--the lowest there had 324!  Even Team Monster Skellington (aka TeamTinyLittleDog) made it on to the Top 10!  At this rate, he will have caught up in like 4 more races!

    Thunder Valley 450's

    * Tommy Hahn (68)

    * Ivan Tedesco (50)

    * Kyle Summers (46)

    * Jake Moss (36)

    Thunder Valley 250's

    * Christophe Pourcel (40)

    * Ryan Dungey (33)

    * Matt Lemoine (28)

    * Will Hahn (13)

    Tuxedo Did We Win

    Tuxedo checking on the team, mere minutes after the lockout!  Impatient cat!

    December 31, 1969December 31, 1969  0 comments  Uncategorized

    We had another solid MotoXDream week, moving from #12 to #11 with 254 points. We played the handicaps this time, trying to gamble and put in some distance between us and some others.  Our 250's (Hahn, Martin, Pourcel, Tickle) did well, the 450's (Alessi, Georke, Hahn, Sipes), however, didn't get it done, but I think we may have done better if we just went safe.

    However, our rival team, Monster Skellington (aka TeamTinyLittleDog), run by Motospace's Rob964 did really well and is now within 35 points!  Can you believe it?  He even FORGOT to make his picks one week, and he has still managed to claw his way back!  Rob964 is clearly taking it personally and is showing intensity in his pursuit to crush TTB.  (Either that, or we just suck!)  When I showed him the new standings, Tuxedo was speechless, either disgusted or indifferent--he's a cat, it's difficult to know for sure.

    The upcoming "drop round" is going to be interesting.  If all things remain equal between now and the drop, TeamTuxedoBurrito and Monster Skellington will go in with 35-point difference.  Rob964 missed a round, so his lowest will be a 0.  TTB's lowest round was like 84, so he may holeshot right past us!  We'll have to use every trick in our arsenal to keep him at bay, from making better, more informed picks, to using Jedi mind tricks: *Rob, you've ALREADY made your Washougal picks...*

    Later!

    PS: Yo Jeff Alessi, come on dude, we were counting on you!

    Team Monster Skellington riders Short and Tedesco edged out TeamTuxedoBurrito's Ferry and Hahn in the 450 series, and Chistophe Pourcel failed to deliver victory for TTB in the 250's, but both teams battled it out in the sand at Southwick, picking mostly the right riders, and both making the Top 10 with only a 10-point margin between the scores.  But still, that was not enough to edge out Skellington out!

     Tuxedo from the Burrito

    Tuxedo, while in the Burrito, reported that the TTB riders did not bring the intensity today, especially Ferry!  The TeamTuxedoBurrito Motocross season is slipping away through Southwick's shifting sands.  The only way TeamTuxedoBurrito can beat Monster Skellington at this point in the season, with only Steel City remaining is for Rob964 to make some really horrible picks, or to forget his picks entirely, which is unlikely.

    TeamTuxedoBurrito still has a chance (a long shot) to break into the Top 10, and will be finishing the Motocross season at our personal all-time best , but Tuxedo is already looking ahead to revenge in the Supercross season.

    After just narrowly missing breaking into the top 10 in his respective divisions, and being beaten out by the "drop week", by Monster Skellington aka TeamTinyLittleDog, Tuxy disappeared from the public eye to train in preparation for the MotoXdream 2010 Fantasy Supercross Season. Now, after drinking a whole case of energy drinks and getting some badass motocross photography from MotoXPhoto, TeamTuxedoBurrito is back and ready for some long awaited Fantasy Supercross Revenge with our official team fan poster:
